British Sign Language Interpreter MICHAEL BOE
Michael was born in Fleetwood, but is currently living in the City of Preston. He studied at Durham University, where he regularly sang at Durham Cathedral. These beginnings led to formal vocal training with soprano Gwen Catley and on to study at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Michael has been a regular performer in recital and operatic performance; encompassing song, oratorio and musical theatre. Winner of various awards, his singing has taken him to France, the Netherlands, Italy and Germany as well as his home country. He is Artistic Director of Northern Star Opera which tours the North of England.
Michael has a particular passion for sign language interpreted theatre. He is a member of the Register of Sign language Interpreters and often interprets opera, plays, musicals and Shakespeare.
