WEDNESDAY 8 SEPTEMBER AT
7.30PM
An Evening with
RICKY 'The Hitman' HATTON
Featuring FRANK BRUNO

A unique chance to spend two hours in the company one of British boxing’s most successful and popular fighters of all time, the acclaimed ‘An Evening With Ricky Hatton’ show is a hilarious glimpse into the life and career of the man affectionately known as The Hitman.

Back on the road for the first time since a sell out tour last summer, the show has already rave reviews from the national press as Hatton regales his audience with his hugely entertaining blend of humour and tales of the tape from a career that has brought him fame, fortune and two world championship titles.

Hosted by close friend Terry Baker, the show will also feature a fascinating guest appearance from the one and only Frank Bruno, who will be on hand to answer questions from the audience.

One the best British fighters ever, Hatton is universally regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world today and his all-action style and crushing body shots has earned him a huge fan base in his native Manchester and far beyond.

The Mancunian’s greatest victory to date came against Kostya Tszyu when the two fighters met to contest the IBF light welterweight crown in 2005. Tszyu was the defending champion and hot favourite but a sensational performance from Hatton saw The Hitman dethrone the Australian to confirm his status as boxing royalty.

Bruno needs little more introduction and at the height of his powers he was the most popular sportsmen in the country and to this day the former world heavyweight champion remains a national icon.

So don’t miss out on tickets for this rare opportunity to see two of boxing’s favourite sons in the flesh.

SNOOKER

It has now been confirmed that Preston Guild Hall will be the only
venue on the tour to host three fixtures.

MARCO FU vs SHAUN MURPHY

DING JUN-HUI vs MARK WILLIAMS

NEIL ROBERTSON vs MARK SELBY

Matchroom Sport announce a star-packed line up for the 2010 Partycasino.com Premier League Snooker
.

Featuring seven players in total, everyone is a winner of a major event in the 2009/10 season, including reigning PartyCasino.com Premier League Snooker Champion Shaun Murphy, the World No.7.

Taking place on Thursday nights and live throughout on Sky Sports, Premier League Snooker visits ten towns across
England, Scotland and Wales before the November play-offs at Potters Leisure Resort in Norfolk.

Shanghai Masters Champion, Ronnie O’Sullivan, the World No.3 is a six-times winner of the Premier League and the Rocket will be returning to the fray in a quest to add to his tally of titles.

2010 has been a fantastic year for
Australia’s Neil Robertson as he claimed his maiden World Championship in April at the Crucible and climbed to No.2 on the rankings. ‘Robbo’ will be making his third appearance in the League and will be looking to improve on two 6th placed finishes.

Mark Selby claimed his second Masters title in three years at Wembley in January and the Leicester-based World No.5 will hope to go one better than his only previous Premier League appearance when he lost to O’Sullivan in the ’08 final.

Welshman Mark Williams is slowly returning to the sort of form that won him two World Championships in the 2000’s. Now ranked No. 8 in the world, Williams claimed the China Open last season, his first ranking win for four years.

UK Champion and World No.5 Ding Junhui returns to the League following a year’s break and it will be the first time in the event’s illustrious history that two Asian players are in the line-up.

Finally, 2002 Premier League Champion Marco Fu returns having won the only direct qualifier for the Premier League – Championship League Snooker. The World No.14 from
Hong Kong defeated Mark Allen 3-2 to seal his spot in snooker’s most prestigious invitational.

Now entering its record-breaking 25th season, Premier League Snooker is the world’s only major snooker tournament played to a league format. There are two games taking place per evening and both matches are over six frames, with two points for a win and a point for a 3-all draw.

Following the round robin section of play, the top four players move forward to the big money play-offs in November. The eventual Champion receives £30,000, the runner-up £15,000 and the beaten semi-finalists £5,000 each.

There will be a bonus fund of £1,000 per frame won during the round-robin section, making a total of £126,000 available. In addition, there will be a ‘Double Your Money’ bonus for century breaks made throughout the round robin play which means that any frames won with a 100-plus break will result in a £2,000 payout.

TONY STOCKWELL

At its best, Mediumship has the potential to change

someone’s life and to instil in them a sense of peace,

comfort and purpose.  Psychic Medium Tony Stockwell

is not a new kid on the block and during his 20 years

working as a medium he has constantly striven to improve his game

and push the boundaries of his communication.  In that time he has

had umpteen television programmes, taught at some of the most

respected schools for mediumistic development as well as setting

up his own training school for developing mediums.

“It’s one thing for a medium to tell you that they’ve got “someone who’s

passed over” coming through, and that “they love and miss you”.

It’s something else entirely when they provide you with clinically accurate

information about specific times, places and events that they simply

couldn’t have gathered by scientifically-accepted means”

Mike Hallowell, Journalist
